This is a birthday card for my granddaughter, Kyla. Can you tell that the flourishes pop-up when you open the card?
I have had a couple of questions about how I made this pop-up so I will link you up with the Sizzix-Karen Burniston designed die!
Tag 1 has Faux tinting on the key and lock (not really Patina because these weren't silver to begin with) and Tinted Tinsel.
Tag 2 is Ombre (Love, love, love this technique)
Tag 3 is Monoprint
Tag 4 is Faded Layers (this is a cool effect)!
Today was fun!
Tag 1 is Photo Tinting (a photo of my grandmother) with Faux Cracked Glass technique on the lightbulb.
Tag 2 is Smudge Stamping (Love this).
Tag 3 is Brayered Stains (I need to practice this one!) with a Distress Glitter butterfly (sorry I didn't have Rock Candy glitter!).
The first tag (I will go across the top first l to r and then the bottom row) is Mixed-Media Layering.
Tag 2 and 3 are Embossing with Stencils (who knew you could do that?).
Tag 4 is Embossing through stencils.
Tag 5 is Stencil Stamping (so awesome!).
Tag 6 is Stencil Sketching.
Tag 7 is Ink Monoprint.
Tag 8 is Paint Monoprint.
Wow! This is so fun! I am learning so many new techniques! Day One is about Distress Paints. The first tag (top left) was one I posted earlier. It has 3 techniques: 1. the fir branches are Colored Crackle (I used paint on one and stain on the other) 2. the pinecone is an Altered Surace 3. the tag is Eroded Metallic.
Tag 2 (center top) is Distress Paint Marbling.
Tag 3 (top right) is another Eroded Metallic.
Tag 4 (bottom left) Stamping Resist.
Tag 5 (bottom right) is Industrial Technique
Thanks to T!m we are learning fun things to do with Distress Paint!!!
was made with Graphic 45 paper and Sizzix dies - Square Card with Ornate Edge 3D Pop-Up, Majestic Labels and the spider from Spider and Spiderweb 3D Pop-Up. I clear embossed the spider several times. The ribbon was sprayed with Heidi Swapp's Mustard Color Shine.
This is the cover of my Smash Book that I made for my trip to Belize. I used lots of stamps from the SMAK Kit "Going Places" February 2013. I used Color Shine and Distress Paint around the edges. I stamp with Ranger's Archival Ink.
